Femi Adesina’s Replacement Appointed

Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), has adopted Garbadeen Muhammad as the new president replacing Femi Adesina who was appointed as the special adviser media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Muhammad, who was the deputy to Adesina, was elected at a special convention by the guild during its just concluded annual conference, in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.


Steve Ayorinde the guild’s vice president (West) was also elected as deputy president, while Funke Egbemode was elected as Ayorinde’s replacement as vice president ( West).

The guild has also called on President Buhari to ensure that his ongoing fight against corruption is not selective and commended him for appointing two past presidents of the guild, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu as special adviser and senior special Assistant.


The editors urged their members to strive to continually improve their skills and learn new ones that would prepare them for life after the editorial chair.


Meanwhile the Senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Garbadeen Muhammad on his election as the new president, Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
