CHAN Qualifiers: Oliseh Names 19 Home Based Eagles

Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, has released a list of 19 home –based professionals ahead of Nigeria’s 4th African Nations Championship final qualifying fixture against Burkina Faso next month.

The team will start a camp in Port Harcourt on Monday, October 4, 2015 and will face Etalons at the Adokiye Amiesieamaka Stadium on Sunday,  October 18 while the return leg will be played on Sunday, October 25.

The six home –based professionals called up for two international friendlies against DR Congo and Cameroon, on 8th and 11th October respectively, will join the 19 players on their return to the country on Monday, 12th October for the CHAN qualifiers.

The invited players are goalkeepers Femi Thomas (Enyimba FC) and Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Sunshine Stars), defenders Chima Akas (Sharks FC) and Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors), midfielder Paul Onobi (Sunshine Stars) and forward Prince Aggreh (Sunshine Stars).

In a related development, NFF 2^nd vice president Shehu Dikko says 19 year old Alex Iwobi is a late inclusion to the Super Eagles squad because of FIFA rules which state that he must play for the main team before he can be considered for the U-23 squad.
