Two tragic incidents happened to a family in Port Harcourt after a man killed his brother and was subsequently killed by a mob in a reprisal attack.

According to Linda Ikeji Blog, the unfortunate incident happened on Friday, September 25 at Okene Street, Rumoukwurushi in Port Harcourt.

It was reported that Adebayo Oyetayo Ismaila, the elder brother was brutally murdered with a hammer by his mentally deranged brother known popularly by his nickname, African Michael Jackson.

When neighbours got wind of the murder, an irate mob gathered and seized the younger brother. He was allegedly beaten and finally landed in police detention. He subsequently died in police detention from the injuries he sustained from the mob attack.
The culture of jungle justice and pronouncing instant judgement on alleged criminals is a current trend in Nigeria which the police is struggling to curb. Recently an alleged thief in Port Harcourt was beaten and burnt to death by a mob.
