The transfer deadline in Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, and France closed at 11.59pm on August 31st but not before clubs announced some shocking deals.
Clubs always seem to know who to sign on the last day of possible transfers and this summer is no different. Think the last transfer day of 2011 when Wenger acted switly to losing 8-2 to Manchester United by signing Mikel Arteta, Andreas Santos, Per Metersacker, Park Chu Young and Yossi Benayoun. Those signings were borne out of desperation to save his young Arsenal side with some experienced heads.

Just like Wenger some managers sign players to improve their playing squad.
We start off in Italy where Inter Milan announced the signing of three players on transfer deadline day. The Italian giants confirmed the signing of Adem Ljalic of Roma, Felipe Melo and Alex Telles of Galatasary.

Manchester United let two players leave the club while a third could not complete his tranfers due to the paperwork being sent in the wrong format. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Harnandez and Adnan Januzaj left the former English champions to sign for Bayer Leverkusen and Borrusia Dortmund respectively while David De Gea could not complete his move to Real Madrid because the paper work while was sent by United to Real was saved in the wrong format.
