A Lagos-based clergyman, Godson Akubuiro, has been arrested alongside some of children, for allegedly printing fake Nigerian currency.
The 49-year-old man was arrested by officers attached to the Department of State Securities (DSS) for allegedly printing fake currency, alongside his daughter’s boyfriend, who was a member of the 15-man gang which had been in the business for about two years.
Blessing, the pastor’s daughter who is among the accused, denied knowing the said boyfriend as she repeatedly said: “I don’t know him. I don’t know him from anywhere.”

Akubuiro, who stated that God punished the biblical Judas for his sins against his master, also noted that the business he had been involved in was the handiwork of the devil.
In a show of remorse for his misdeeds, he prostrated before the onlookers and the security officials to plead for forgiveness, saying that David was a man after God’s heart, but he fell and went back to God for repentance after his fall.
