The spate of reckless driving by motorcyclist, otherwise known as Okada riders in Lagos has resulted in major road accidents across Lagos metropolis.
As the saying goes, it’s better to be late then be the late.
Many of us are guilty of this offence, as we often patronize bike riders in a bid to beat traffic and meet up with appointments.
It is understandable that most people view Okada as a quick option because of their busy morning schedules.
But getting Okada rides in the evenings as we return from the day’s activities is slightly unnecessary as there’s really no logic behind the rush.
Yesterday, a Naij.com correspondent took pictures of Okada riders as they took passengers on a ‘one way’ route along Mangoro/ Cement area of Lagos State.
The dangers of this are real and people must should desist from patronizing Okada riders who are fond of this act.
