Arkell Graves and his wife Dana Griffin-Graves had been trying to conceive a baby since their wedding 17 years ago. But after four miscarriages and a stillborn baby, the couple had eventually given up… Yet fate had a surprise of its own for them.

Dana said: “We had everything planned.It was definitely a struggle… a rollercoaster with emotions. I just got to the point where I was like ‘you know what, I want to stop trying. It just didn’t work out, so we kind of gave up. ‘”

As the years went by, Arkell and Dana gradually got used to the thought that they would never have a full family. But earlier this year, the woman got unexpected news – she was going to be a mother!

 

Trying to announce her pregnancy in a special way, she put buns in the oven and  placed sonogram with a card reading: ‘Baby’s first picture’. In the video, Dana asks her husband to take a look in the oven, and his reaction is priceless!
