While addressing the stadium which was filled to its capacity, the governor reiterated his commitment to the rebuilding mission of his administration.

Amosun thanked the civil servants for their unalloyed support since the administration came on board, adding: “you have been part of the success stories we have recorded so far, thank you and still expecting more and more support from you.

“Today, we are celebrating 55 years of our independence. If we look back from where we are coming from, where we are and we are praying to be,I think we will all have different stories to write.

“But what has been our joy is our unity despite our ethnic, religious and political differences, we have maintained our unity and I want to assure you that sooner than later, we will get there.

“We are not yet at where we supposed to be, but with calmness and support to the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, we will get to the promised land.

“Back at home, I want to assure our people that all information flying around are from the mischief makers, don’t listen to them, just be looking at them.

“Let me assure you that we are not going to start any project in any Senatorial district of the state for now. What is paramount to us for now is to complete all the uncompleted projects spread across the three Senatorial districts of the state.

“Let me call on our youths to be of good conduct in a bid to take this country to the high pedestal as what it was known for in the past as the giant of Africa.

“We can still get there, lets not loose hope. With our togetherness and love for one another, we will get there.”
